Post-16 Learning Pathways

“The move to Sixth Form is an exciting time. Sixth Form is a time to develop on an academic level and as a young adult, and to plan for the next steps in life, either at university, apprenticeships or in work.

Many of our Year 11 pupils will progress into our Sixth Form; they relish the prospect of being the responsible senior members of Ysgol Bro Dinefwr and provide smart, aspirational role models for the younger pupils. Every student is encouraged to develop leadership skills and to embrace a more independent learning style in an atmosphere of mutual respect and shared learning. We are a successful Sixth Form and over the last four years 40% of our 6th Form pupils who apply to higher education go to Russell Group Universities.

We are immensely proud of our friendly, thriving Sixth Form community in which every single member plays a valued part. The two years pass all too quickly, but we know that our Year 13 pupils leave us with many happy memories. ”
