Skills Challenge Certificate
General course information
Students’ work for each component of the Skills Challenge Certificate is marked by teachers in schools and colleges, and after internal standardisation, a sample of work is moderated by WJEC.
The Skills Challenge Certificate is a standalone qualification. It can still be achieved and awarded even without the other qualifications that make up the Welsh Bacc. The Skills Challenge Certificate is graded from A*-E at A-Level
Through the Welsh Baccalaureate learners will raise their skills levels and confidence, enabling and empowering them to take their place as responsible and active citizens within a diverse society.
Alongside and through the development of skills, the Welsh Baccalaureate provides learners with the opportunity to develop their knowledge and understanding of society, the community in which they live and an awareness of global issues, events and perspectives.
