Ysgol Bro Dinefwr PTFA (Parent, Teacher and Friends Association) is an important and integral part of our school and the wider community. Over the years, it has raised crucial funds for the school and provided social events for pupils and parents. In recent years the money raised by the PTFA has funded wellbeing activities for pupils, the initial work for the Outdoor Learning area ‘Natur’ as well as the purchase of key equipment to support your childrens’ learning.

The school is always grateful to all parents, carers and family members who are able to help the PTFA alongside other family commitments. The PTFA needs a strong team of volunteers to commit to keep it functioning and to bring forward fresh ideas and initiatives. This is particularly relevant currently as clearly the PTFA has been unable to function normally in recent months due to Covid restrictions, and would welcome any ideas on Covid-friendly fundraising.

If you are interested in supporting the PTFA, or want to find out more about plans for the coming year, please attend the Virtual PTFA AGM on Tuesday 9th March at 7pm.   A link to the meeting will be sent to all parents by email.  There are currently vacancies for a Vice-Chair, Treasurer, Vice Treasurer and Vice Secretary, as well as general support in arranging events and fundraising activities.  This is a fantastic opportunity to move the PTFA forward in an exciting new direction.  We will be looking to raise funds to support the needs of as many pupils as possible.  Given the potential impact of Covid on pupil wellbeing, our focus.
