Eisteddfod yr Urdd
We are delighted to have received the following letter from AM Mr Adam Price, in acknowledgement of the hard work and committment of our staff and pupils in the recent Urdd Eisteddfod. We are immensley proud of all the pupils who entered and took part this year, and of course of the staff that worked hard to support the pupils. We are very much looking forward to playing a significant role in the Urdd Eisteddfod 2023 in Llandovery. Preparations are already underway in the school and information about competitions in all areas will be published to pupils and parents in September.
90,000 thousand visitors are expected to visit Llandovery for the week-long festival. Over 15,000 children and young people under the age of 25 will compete during the week in various Creative Arts competitions such as instrumental performances, choirs, solo musical performances, drama performances, Art and literature competitions. ! Around 40,000 competitors across Wales will have already competed in local and regional rounds earlier in the year leading up to the Eisteddfod.
