This interesting and lively course aims to develop a desire and ability to communicate with and understand Spanish native speakers.

The language will be studied through a range of topics such as technology and social media, health and fitness, entertainment and leisure, food and drink, festivals and celebrations, the Spanish speaking World, holidays and tourism, the Environment, social issues, education and employment.

The study of a modern foreign language will broaden horizons, develop cultural knowledge and understanding and foster skills such as confidence, communication, problem solving and creativity.

This qualification will enable learners to express and develop thoughts and ideas spontaneously and fluently.

Studying a foreign language provides a sound base for further study, work and leisure. A modern language is a requirement for some courses or some careers – Spanish offers careers in translation, tourism, business, education and more. It helps with such careers as law.
