course information

The double award course is made of 6 examined units and one practical exam.  In June of year 10 there will be three external exams one in each of the sciences - biology, chemistry and physics, these will form 45% of the external exam grade. 

In May of year 11 there will be three additional external exams, one in each of the sciences adding a further 45% of the marks for the course. In January of year 11 there will be a practical exam that is the remaining 10% of the course.  The scores from these seven units will be totalled to form the final mark and 2 GCSE grades will be awarded from this total'
