The WJEC Level 1/2 Vocational Award in Hospitality and Catering has been designed to support students who want to learn about this vocational sector and the potential it can offer them for their careers or further study.

 

Unit 1

The Hospitality and Catering Industry

 Onscreen assessment (40%)

 

Unit 2

Hospitality and Catering in Action

 Controlled assessment (60%)

The course provides learners with the knowledge and understanding of the hospitality and catering industry.  It develops learners’ ability to plan, prepare and cook dishes and equips learners with the practical skills required within the catering industry.  Learners will complete tasks that mirror industry practice.
