Dear Parent / Guardian
As you are aware, Sixth Form pupils in Ysgol Bro Dinefwr have been identified as potentially coming into close contact with the individuals that have tested positive.
The TTP team have confirmed with us today that it is likely that the virus was transmitted between individuals beyond those originally recognised as contact persons.
As a result, the whole Sixth Form bubble should self-isolate as a precaution from 27 November which was the last date when the individuals were together during their infectious periods.
The isolation period for all members of the Sixth Form bubble will therefore end on 11 December, so the first day back at school will be 14 December.
Everyone else in the household can continue as normal (however if your child becomes symptomatic, the whole household would then need to self-isolate).
The TTP Team will contact you individually to discuss this. It is important you answer your phone as they will be providing information and advice and will be able to answer any questions you may have.
In the event of any further positive cases, all updates will be published on the council website http://newsroom.carmarthenshire.gov.uk/
Lessons will be delivered via Teams and will follow the usual timetable.
