Welsh Schools Women's Pole Vault

Carys Jones became Welsh Schools Champion in the Pole Vault on Saturday 1st July with a winning jump of 3.30m in Cardiff.  From her success she was selected to represent Welsh Schools on Wednesday 12th July again at Cardiff in an U20 International match against England U20. Again was successful and won her 1st International placing Wales and Ysgol Bro Dinefwr on the map.

Women’s Pole Vault
Carys Jones of Welsh Schools took the international fixture win with 3.35 metres. Carys had this to say afterwards: "I was quite happy with my performance, it was a season's best. I've just come back from a year out with stress fracture in my back, so I'm happy with that."
