Mock Bar Trial / Treial Ffug y Bar

On Saturday 17th November, our senior law team travelled to Cardiff Crown Court to complete in Mock Bar Trial Regional heat. The team was made up of 15 pupils from Years 10 and Year 12 who had spent many hours after school and during the lunch hour preparing speeches, learning the witness statements and becoming familiar with court proceedings. The team gave outstanding performances in all of their three trials, leaving them the overall winners. As a result, they have earned the right to compete in Edinburgh in March with the chance of becoming UK champions. With fund-raising already underway and a new case to learn the hard work has started again! Many congratulations to all who took part and many thanks to the staff and parents who have supported them.
