Glastonbury goes Global
On the 23rd March twelve Yr 9 pupils had the opportunity to take part in a competition called “Glastonbury goes global” organised by Business Language Champions in Aberystwyth University.
The pupils were tasked to organise a Music Festival in a French or Spanish speaking country. To succeed, they had to build a 3D model of their festival stage and field, design the programme, interview their chosen headliner, prepare and perform a short radio advert, answer questions from a council official – all in French or Spanish. They also presented their Festival to all the other teams.
The two teams produced impressive work and had a fantastic day, which gave them the opportunity to see how they could use their language skills in the music industry. Well done to the following pupils:
Esther Purnell, Poppy Roberts, Rebeca Garton, Viktoria Lougher, Marged Williams, Teah Ross, Hollie Tommason, Dimana Pavlova, Farah Lock, Tamzin Bryan-Ord, Cerys Bowen and Saffron Jones.
